Labour and Copperative Party Candidate for Woodfield Ward
Hello, I’m Alistair Gordon and I’m the Labour & Co-operative Party candidate for the Woodfield Ward in the Borough Council elections.
I am a passionate believer that everyone contributes to making Stevenage a fantastic town to live in and ( want to help residents make a difference in their neighbourhood. I want to work with community groups that have ideas they want to put into action and help them lead on social and leisure issues in a bottom-up fashion.
I love living in Stevenage because it is one of the greenest towns I have lived, where nobody is more than a few hundred metres from a green space.
I want people to feel safe in their neighbourhood and have pride in it and will work to ensure that the Council is tough on antisocial behaviour and fly-tipping.
I have twenty years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, from manufacturing to drug-safety. My voluntary work has included working with offenders at Stevenage Probation Service and with people with severe physical and learning disabilities.
As your Labour and Co-operative Party candidate I am committed to a fairer society, believing that things work best when everyone has a voice and when services are accountable to the people who use them.
