Who we are

The Labour Party is a century old political organisation, born out of the trade union movement and built on equality, social justice and compassion. We are a movement of over half a million members working to elect a Government that puts those shared values into action.

What can I do if I join?

As a Labour member, you’ll be a key part of the team helping us fight to form the next Labour Government. You’ll have a say in our policy and vote in internal elections. We’ll provide you with all the tools and resources to get involved in events, campaign days and rallies.   We’ll introduce you to a huge movement of other like-minded members. If you want to one day, you can even stand for election as an official Labour Party candidate.
