This past year Simon has been Mayor of Stevenage and his priorities have been to support young people and to promote the environment. As a keen local historian Simon organizes local walks and talks about Shephall and Stevenage New Town history. This year Simon chairs the Borough Planning Committee.
Before the Covid virus struck Simon worked closely with Shephall residents to support Shephall Fete and Broadwater Day. He has organized many environmental events in the Valley, including litter picks.
