The table below shows an estimate of the real-terms budget cuts that every school in Stevenage, Knebworth, Datchworth, Codicote and Aston are facing.  All primary and secondary schools are facing reduction in funding, resulting in fewer teachers and teaching assistants, larger class sizes and a general reduction in resources.

Headteachers in parts of Hertfordshire are already writing to parents to warn them that there may be fewer teachers and classroom assistants next term. Some say school trips or additional activities may no longer be on offer. And in some parts of the county subjects are being removed at GCSE or A-level.

The table below allows parents and grandparents to see estimates (from schoolcuts.org.uk) of the budget  cuts faced by  each school in the constituency.

Please sign our petition

asking Secretary of State for Education, Damian Hinds MP, to close the current funding gap and ensure all Stevenage Constituency schools have sufficient resources to recruit and retain the best teachers, offer a wide and balanced curriculum and provide all children, particularly those with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities) with the great education that they deserve.
