Rob Broom for Shephall
Labour and Cooperative Party Candidate for Shephall Ward, Stevenage

Hello, I’m Rob Broom and I’m the Labour & Cooperative candidate for Shephall ward.
I have lived in Stevenage all my life. I am a former pupil of Barnwell School. l have worked in local government for more than 30 years, and have volunteered with local charities.
I am proud to be a Shephall councillor, and if re-elected I will carry on working hard for the people of Shephall to get us through these difficult times. I have been successful in getting more equipment into Peartree Park, and want other improvements to the park. I have supported the work to improve the area in front of Peartree shops, along with residents and other councillors. As a Labour councillor, I stand up for local people, through my case work, and with with the residents committee.
I have served as a Stevenage Borough Councillor for seven years, and have responsibility for how the Council works with our community. I took a lead in devising the Council’s emergency response during lockdown, supporting vulnerable people in the community at this difficult time. I have also worked to support community centres and local charities, helping them to survive the challenges the pandemic has brought.
If re-elected, I look forward to working for local residents, to improve Shephall, and our town.
