Under a new Government system – Individual Electoral Registration (IER) – it is now up to YOU as an individual to register your details and check they are correct. Previously one person, often a parent or partner,  could register the whole household – this is no longer the case.

Make sure you’re registered to vote – you just need your National Insurance (NI) number and date of birth.
