Labour and Cooperative candidate for Martin's Wood
I am a physiotherapist in our local hospital. I came from the Philippines and have lived in Stevenage since 2003 . I am a wife , a mother of two , a news magazine freelance/ contributor writer, managing director of a theatre group and a physiotherapist.
I love my life in Stevenage . My community, work , school and church have been very good and wonderful to me all these years and I would like to give back by offering my time , resources , fresh ideas , skills and services to the people of Stevenage.
I am passionate about making our diverse community more united and integrated for us to achieve a common goal for the progress of our town . As a health care professional, I can help with promotion of health and well-being of our residents .
As a new local councillor candidate , I would like to hear what are the needs and the voice of the residents of Martins Wood . I envision that more people will get involved with community activities either virtually or outdoors, to keep us active mentally and physically. I am excited and looking forward to work with Martins Wood constituents in areas that are important to them.
I hope that I will be given this chance to serve my local community.
I have been a Co-Chairman in Parents- Staff Association of our local primary school , organised a community event that promote the beautiful diversity of our town and an advocate in fundraising for various charity organisations.
