Labour and Cooperative candidate for Manor Ward
Hello, I’m Louisa Barr and I am proud to be selected to stand as your Labour & Cooperative candidate for Manor Ward , where I have been a resident for the last 15 years .
I was born into a Stevenage family of Labour supporters, and from a very young age trained to be a professional actor, singer and dancer. I have performed all over the UK in many touring companies and seen for myself the huge gap between those who have plenty and those who need our help to support them .
I am now co – principal of a performing arts co-operative school based in this area and believe that the arts are what makes us all human. The arts have no class privilege or divisions and I strive to embrace the talents of children with all abilities and needs.
I am also co-carer for my very disabled brother , and feel privileged to be part of the wider disabled community.
My pledge to the people of Manor ward is one of striving for equality and a kinder approach to politics.
