Labour Councillors and Volunteers have been out at Jessop Road and St Nicholas cleaning up leaves and litter and weeding along the cycle paths footpaths, underpasses and shrub borders. Fortunately (in St Nicholas) the weather was good and many interested residents stopped for a chat. Unfortunately it rained quite heavily that day in Jessop Road  but that did not deter our hardy team. We filled about 30 bags plus of wet muddy soil (separate ones for litter) .  Luckily along came a resident who offered to take the muddy soil if we could take them to his nearby back garden.( He wanted to use it for topsoil!!  Music to our ears as we were discussing how to dispose of them. Despite the rain we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
