Saturday 9th March was the day our Stevenage Labour Women’s Forum celebrated International Women’s Day with the presentation of a wreath created by the Women’s Forum and a bouquet presented to Martha Cobbold for Lady Constance Bulwer-Lytton in recognition of her sacrifice as a suffragette for women’s cause back in the early part of the twentieth century. Thanks to Lorraine Clarke for her support with everything and her friend Penny for the incredible cake and cupcakes that were specially designed for the occasion and to Jill Borcherds our PPC and Arielle Lovell Bennett for their updates. Thanks also to all who joined us on the day. We had a really enjoyable time.
