Labour and Cooperative candidate for Longmeadow
Hello, I am Chris Webb and I am proud to have been chosen to stand as a Labour & Co-operative candidate for the Longmeadow ward. Born and raised in a New Town, and still resident in a New Town, the sense of equality and fairness at the heart of New Towns is in my heart too. This is my main reason for wanting to represent the great communities of Longmeadow.
I know the incredible value of local authority services in helping people faced with disadvantage and ensuring equality and fairness. Making life better is at the heart of Labour policies.
I support Co-operative principles, and appreciate the benefits of collaborative working. I have worked from the shop floor to top floor, in the social and housing sectors, and within industry and commerce. I know how to deliver service improvements, and ensure regulatory compliance. This is experience that will help me serve you and our Council.
I have an objective of making a positive difference for the community in which I live. My life and work experience and skill, coupled with my Labour values, means I can strive to meet that objective as your Councillor.
I am a strong advocate and more than able to aid members of our community who are in need of help and guidance. As a Labour representative, my approach is to bring people and agencies together to gain results. Through such collaboration with other agencies, coordination and cooperation that delivers a positive difference within our community can be achieved.
Over the coming years, I will work to deserve your trust by using my experience and skill in service to the wider community. Most of all, I offer my help to each and every person who needs their elected representative to help them to overcome the many hurdles that get in the way of our lives today.
My personal pledge:
■ To hear you and listen to you
■ To offer help and advice
■ To work with others
■ To achieve fairness and equality for you, your neighbours and your community
