Vote today! Vote Labour!

A special message for Stevenage residents from your MEP Richard Howitt.

Richard Howitt MEP for Eastern Region yesterday recorded this special message for Stevenage voters, recognising the hard work and dedication of local councillors and candidates for today's local government elections.

Following report of a £180 millions European investment in Stevenage's space industry, viewers of yesterday's 'Look East' on BBC will have seen Richard Howitt (@14 minutes in) with supporters standing up with your councillors Richard Henry, Jim Brown and Maureen McKay who are standing for re-election in St. Nicholas, Old Town and Martins Wood Wards.

Councillors and candidates will be at polling stations across the town throughout the day hoping to hear from you, but unfortunately can't be everywhere at once, therefore our team of dedicated volunteers will be keeping the party office (01438 222800) staffed throughout the day.

Your local ward candidates are on our Elections Info page, but you also have a vote for Hertfordshire Police and Crime Commissioner. Mr Kerry Pollard stands as our candidate to oppose Tory cuts and halt the rising crime rate our region has experienced as a result.

It's a beautiful day to take part in shaping the future of your town!

You don't need your polling card or ID to vote - just turn up.

If you have a postal vote, it's not too late - polling stations will also accept your sealed ballot papers.

Vote early! Vote Labour!
